Commonwealth Games Mountain Biking

We made posters of the Commonwealth Games. We could choose events, competitors or countries. For my topic I chose mountain biking. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Mrs Benington gave us a flat rubbish bag and some markers. We were given a topic to draw and the topic was happy. So we had to draw everything that made us happy. And this is what it turned out like.

This is my Arrowtown painting. I like the colour of my trees that shows it is Autumn.

Sports Activator

On Monday 9th of June  the sports activator came to Lawrence area school to teach us some hockey skills. First of all we practised our Indian dribbling. At the end of the period we had a game of hockey. We each had our own number and when our number was called out we ran out onto the field and tried to score. Everyone enjoyed the sports activator.

Queenstown Camp Term 2 Week 1

Last week Room 6 were at Camp Queenstown.

My favourite things on camp were the luge and the biking activity. The luge as always was awesome and very fast. I liked tightly turning the corners. The biking I liked because it was steep and very rocky with lots of obstacles. At the middle of the ride we stopped to go on an obstacle course with jumps and see saws.

My least favourite thing on camp was the hike with Mr Auld because my legs were aching and it was steep and long.

The most challenging thing on camp was the flag challenge because it was hard to stand the flag up while making it all.

Term 1 2014

My favourite subject in Term 1 was food tech because it was fun and interesting and afterwards we got to eat all the food. My favourite thing we made was the Easter chocolate muffins.
